I am trying to have a spoiler tag in a e-mail. I am not sure if it is even
possible. Any help would be appreciated.

These tags are part of the website you are using and are no actual HTML
tags. The tags you are refering at require scripting to make it work. Since
scripting is disabled in Outlook (security) you can't do this in your
emails.

You can do this by explicitly coding HTML in another tool such as
Frontpage, then copy and paste the result into your mail editor.
Basically you will make the foreground (font) and background the same color.

I have just tried my theory that using the same foreground and
background color would create the "spoiler" effect, but it does not.

I'll investigate a bit further - stay tuned.
I have Frontpage, but am unfamiliar with Frontpage and coding HTML. Can you
explain that to me here, or should I post elseware?
Thank you

OK, but this code between the <body> and </body> tags in Frontpage

<span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>text to be spoiled</span>

then click Preview and copy & paste the black area into the OL editor.
